ABOUT THIS PROJECT

The Palm Beach project specified the removal of 420,000 cubic yards from three separate reaches of Florida’s Palm Beach Harbor, to deepen the main entrance channel and expand the existing settling basin and North Turning Basin. The majority of the dredged material was repurposed to nourish and widen a 3,000-foot-long stretch of Palm Beach. Completed in February 2013, this project was a prime example of the beneficial reuse of dredged material.
