ABOUT THIS PROJECT

This shoreline restoration project entailed dredging and beach fill operations along Wallops Island, located at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. The scope of the project called for placing approximately 3.2 million cubic yards of sand onto an estimated 19,700 feet of the island’s southeastern coastline, extending the island’s seawall.
