Louay Owaidat

National Director of Geotechnical

Mr. Owaidat holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri, Rolla, MO and an M.S. in Construction Management from Washington University, St. Louis, MO. Over his 25 year career Mr. Owaidat has successfully overseen the construction of more than 300 specialty environmental, civil and geotechnical construction projects with a combined total value of more than $500 million. He has authored or co-authored twelve technical papers on levees, soil improvement and slurry wall construction. Mr. Owaidat actively supports his community. He is a member of the Board of Advisory for the School of Engineering at California State University, Sacramento. He also supports a major Civil Engineering university graduate program on soil piping and seismic effect on different types of slurry walls. He also chairs the scholarship fundraising committee of the Construction Institute, organizes fundraising events for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and serves as a volunteer coach and sponsor for a local youth soccer league.
