NCCCO Crane Operator

A Crane Barge Operator controls a pedestal or crawler crane to lift, move and place objects in support of marine construction operations. He/she performs daily rigging, barge, and associated equipment inspections for wear, tear, abrasions, damage, cleanliness and overall condition of the equipment. He/she must have a basic knowledge of crane machinery in order to service the main engine and crane machinery which will include, but not be limited to, changing oil and filters, fueling, lubricate gears and bearings. The Crane Operator must be able to read and write English since load charts are written in that language and provide evidence of completion of a crane operator training course for the type of machinery that will be operated. In compliance with ANSI standards, the operator must perform daily walk-around crane inspections, and must document in writing, every 30 days, that a complete inspection of the crane has been performed. May lift, carry, pull or push miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts weighing up to 50 lbs.

This position is nationwide.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Commitment to work safety and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • NCCCO Hydraulic Crane Certification
  • Complete a pre-employment physical examination and drug screen.
  • Transportation to and from jobsite.
